Day 1

Arrival in Kathmandu (1400 m)

Welcome to Nepal for easy trek to Everest region. We will receive you in the airport and transfer you to hotel in Kathmandu Thamel or any agreed hotel. You will be briefed by our representative and you will also be introduced to your trekking guide. All the trip details will be finalized and you can have free time to roam around the marketplace if time permits. Or, you can rest in your hotel and have early dinner to prepare well for next day’s early morning flight to Lukla. Overnight in a hotel
Day 2

Flight to Lukla (2860 m); Trek to Phakding (2610 m)

Early in the morning we will wake up and head to Domestic Airport in Kathmandu for our flight to Lukla. If it is in peak season, the flight congestion has driven the Lukla flights to Manthali Ramechhap instead from Kathmandu. Therefore, we may have to wake up around 1:30 am or 2 am in the morning. Our jeep will receive you from hotel and we drive to Manthali on BP Highway. The road is winding and narrow. So, brace for tiring jeep ride of about 4 to 5 hours. Once we reach Manthali Airport, we will check in and grab some light biscuits or sandwiches and tea or coffee before boarding the flight. Upon reaching Lukla, we will meet our local crew members. Baggage will be arranged and we will stop for a while for short tea or coffee break. Before starting the trek, we will obtain the Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality entry permit just outside the Lukla town at the starting point of the Everest trek. We will trek downhill and on Nepalese flat trail for majority of times. There are short uphill and downhill sections including many suspension bridges. The first day’s trek is so pleasing as we trek through Mane Wheels, monasteries, and hamlets. There are farmlands too. On the way, we will have lunch and continue our trek to Phakding. The place is small village with many tea houses along the banks of Dudh Koshi River. Overnight in a tea house
Day 3

Trek to Namche Bazaar (3440 m)

Early in the morning, we will wake up and explore the village before breakfast. Once breakfast is served, the guide will brief you about today’s trek. We will do short stretching as it is the second day of the trek. On this day, you may experience slight fatigue due to first day’s walking. After some stretching, we will continue our trek. The highlights of this day are suspension bridges and Sagarmatha National Park. After walking for about 2 hours, we will reach the Sagarmatha National Park entry gate where we will obtain the national park entry permit. Once we get the permit, we will trek downhill and continue in the Nepalese flat trail all the way to Jorsalle where we will stop for lunch. After lunch, we will continue to march on along the banks of Dudh Koshi River until we reach the confluence between Imja Khola and Dudh Koshi River. This is also the famous photo point of the Everest Base Camp Trek route. The crossing of the Hillary Twin Bridge is so thrilling as we can see two suspension bridges hanging on to the cliffs with raging white - water rapids Imja River under it. The old bridge is used for bungee activity and the new bridge is used to cross from one cliff to another cliff. After crossing the suspension bridge, we will trek uphill through rhododendron and pine forests. Few meters before reaching Namche Bazaar, we will stop to get our first view of Mt. Everest if the weather is clear. If not, we will continue uphill and enter Namche Bazaar. The place is vibrant and settled in horse shoe shape. The sight of Thamserku and Kwangde will entice all trekkers including the houses of the town. You can stroll around the marketplace in the evening or simply choose to rest in your tea house after a long day of trekking. Overnight in a tea house
Day 4

Acclimatization in Namche Bazaar; Day Hike to Everest View Hotel (3880 m)

Acclimatization is very important especially during high – altitude trekking activities. Our trekking is short and easy one but still we must get adjusted to the demands of thin air up in the mountains. After breakfast in our tea house, we will set out to explore majestic places of the region. At first, we will visit the Namche Memorial Park which is also called as the Sagarmatha National Park viewpoint. From this park, you will se astounding scenery of mountains, lower Dudhkoshi Valley, cascading hills, and villages. Therefore, it is the first amazing stop in our acclimatization hike. After spending for about an hour in the park, we will continue our uphill trek to Everest View Hotel. In about 1.5 hours we will reach the Syangboche Airport. It is the highest situated airport of the world but it is no longer in use. From this airport, we will walk uphill for about 15 to 20 minutes before walking in the grassy alpine meadows all the way to the hotel. The trail is on the top of the ridge and offers best scenery of Tengboche hill, valleys, and mountains. Once we reach the Everest View Hotel, we will order a cup of coffee and stay in the balcony to enjoy majestic scenery of mountains. The sight of mountains starting from Tabuche, Nuptse, Lhotse, Everest, Amadablam, Thamserku, Kusum Kangaru, Kangtega, Kwangde, etc. We will decide whether to visit the Khumjung Village or return back to Namche Bazaar. Day 5

Trek to Tengboche (3867 m)

Finally, we will reach the final destination of the Short Everest Easy Trek. At first, we will walk uphill to large Mane Wheel and then walk in the Nepalese flat trail all the way to Kyangjuma Village. We will stop in the village for short refreshments before trekking downhill to Phungi Thanga. This is the small lunch stop place on the banks of river coming from Gokyo Valley. After lunch, we will do entry in the national park checkpoint and start the trekking uphill through green lush forests. The trail is rugged and we have to walk about 2 to 2.5 hours to reach the top of Tengboche. Upon reaching the place, we will check in to our tea house. In the evening, we will visit the monastery. This sacred monastery is one of the largest monasteries of the region where Sherpa people celebrate Dumji and Mani Rimdu festival. We will also enjoy majestic evening sight of Pangboche Valley with Mount Everest in the background. The sight of Amadablam up – close offers best scenery. You can burn incense sticks inside the monastery. If you wish, you can also give some donations. Doing special puja inside the monastery requires fixed amount of money. Overnight in a tea house
Day 6

Trek to Monjo (2835 m) via Namche Bazaar

Early in the morning, we will wake up to enjoy magnificent sunrise from Tengboche. After breakfast, we will trek downhill to Phungi Thanga. From this place, we have to trek uphill until we reach Kyangjuma Village. From the Kyangjuma village, we will walk on the Nepalese flat trail all the way to Namche Bazaar. Our trek will stop for lunch in Namche Bazaar where we will rest for more time before trekking downhill to Monjo via Hillary Twin Bridge and Jorsalle. The return trek is always nice and cozy as we descend from higher elevation places. Once we reach Monjo, we will explore this village and interact with locals about their daily lives. You can also find farmlands in this village and it is also one of the major villages of lower Khumbu region. Overnight in a tea house
Day 7

Trek to Lukla (2860 m)

After breakfast, we will start our trek to Lukla today. We will walk downhill and uphill of shorter sections including Nepalese flat trail all the way to Phakding. After this place, we will mostly trek in Nepalese flat trail and uphill. On the way to Lukla, we will stop in Thado Koshi village which is also the old traditional Sherpa village. You can learn a lot about these people including their lifestyle. Upon reaching Lukla, you can enjoy with crew members for a successful trekking trip. You can also visit different eateries and bars of the town to enjoy the last night in the Everest region. Overnight in a tea house
Day 8

Flight to Kathmandu (1400 m)

We will fly to Kathmandu either from Manthali route or directly to Kathmandu. If we take Manthali route, then we will drive another 4 to 5 hours to reach Kathmandu. The company representative will host the farewell dinner and review about the trek. Overnight in a hotel

Departure

Finally, we will take you to the International Airport and bid you farewell with promise to meet again for another adventure in Nepal.
