Luxury Mountain Lodges of EBC Trek route

Few years before in the Everest Base Camp Trek route, the availability of the room with attached bathroom was luxury. Forget about the hot showers, internet, and elaborated services. Now is not the case. Up until Dingboche village, you can find lots of luxury mountain lodges. Some of the lodges are ultra – premium resorts where you get to enjoy the facilities like in the city hotels.

Khumbu tourism entrepreneurs are working to establish such luxury mountain lodges in the places like Lobuche and Gorakshep. Full fledged luxury resorts are available up to Namche Bazaar (3440 m) and upscale premium lodges are present in the places like Debuche, Pangboche, and Dingboche. However, Lobuche and Gorakshep are yet to get such luxury resorts.

Gorakshep to Kathmandu by Helicopter via Lukla

Do you know that most of the people get fed up with the continuous mountain environment for more than a week? Yes, this is common in high – altitude trekking which is same with the experienced trekking guides as well. Trekkers wish to reach city areas as soon as they reach the final destination. However, the return trek can be more jovial than the ascent because trekkers start to acclimatize with the altitude. Similarly, in return trek the altitude drops and trekkers start to feel better while breathing.

Interestingly, lots of trekkers expect to fly out from Gorakshep after reaching the Everest Base Camp in their Everest Base Camp Luxury Trek. Note that the helicopter can’t lift more than 3 persons from Gorakshep. If you are in a group with more than 3 members, then the chopper does the round trip. The itinerary of the Everest Base Camp Trek in luxury style created by the Hikers Himalaya has provision of flying out to Kathmandu from Gorakshep via Lukla. You can’t skip Lukla because of refueling.

Are you wondering about transportation style in this sumptuous trekking package? Don’t worry! You can experience the flight to the world’s most extreme airport on a twin otter plane and then return on helicopter. This allows trekkers to experience both regular flights and helicopter ride. The bird eye view of the Everest Base Camp Trek route and surrounding mountains is splendidly spectacular.

Advantages of Everest Base Camp Luxury Trek

The advantages of the Everest Base Camp Luxury Trek are very high in comparison to the regular EBC Trek in Nepal. The biggest issues during the Everest Base Camp Trek in Nepal are lodging, meals, and risk of altitude sickness. There are four advantages of booking the Everest Base Camp Luxury Trek.

  • No rush itinerary with Full board meals plan and Upscale Lodging

Regular Everest Trek normally has rush itinerary. There is always a pressure to complete the trek on the stipulated time. The budget is limited and trekking guide tends to act accordingly. While doing so, you may feel exhausted and rush trekking is never momentous. However, the luxury Everest Trek allows trekkers to maintain their own pace but closely monitored by the trekking guide.

Lodging is always in the best available establishments. Food selection is also diverse and more than in the regular Everest Base Camp Trek. Generally, one item is given to guests in regular trek whereas luxury trek allows trekkers to choose the food according to their needs.

  • Less risk of altitude sickness

Uniform pace, adequate meal plans, quality overnight sleep, and gentle elevation gain reduce the chance of altitude sickness drastically. However, you must not forget that the altitude sickness can happen to anyone according to the circumstances. Interestingly, the Everest Luxury Trek itinerary allows trekkers to fully acclimatize to the height and

  • Personalized Services

Normally, a porter is given to two trekkers and a trekking guide. However, the luxury trek package may have one on one porter. The number of guides is determined according to the group size. If you have a group of people more than 4 persons, then you are given assistant guide too. It increases the level of personalized services.

  • Better Cultural Immersion

Sherpa people are the natives of the Everest region. They live in the villages around the Everest Base Camp Trek route. During the regular trek, you may not get lots of time to interact with these people who are known globally as fierce mountain climbers. Their mountain climbing prowess is renowned globally and they haver registered insane records on mountaineering. Being able to know about these people in their own courtyard provides authentic information and great chance to immerse into their traditions.
